Journey of discovery
It feels like connecting with the world as an experience rather than seeing it.
Hiroyuki Masuyama im Interview
You “conserve” moments, always photographing with the awareness that it is only an image of space and time. How did you experience your trip around the world?
During the flight around the world, I took a photo every 20 seconds. I counted the time myself, without a clock or automatic recording. It’s not empirical, it’s experiential. Art is an experience to me.
How do you look at the world from above?
It feels like connecting with the world as an experience rather than seeing it. There is no time and space. It’s a very peaceful landscape.
