Installation – Part III

07.11.2020

Almost at the finish line!

Our blog is online since Sunday, only a few artworks are not in place yet and this week has been somewhat more relaxed.

Mareike Foecking is still busy working on her installation I am looking at Silicon Valley – Silicon Valley is looking at me. While always keeping up with the election results in the US, of course.

47 Faults between Calais and Idomeni by Sven Johne as well as Verpackte Geschichte by Svetlana Kopystiansky are positioned. Also the embassy of the République Libre de Clairefontaine could be established and is now waiting to start official business. Until then Shape No. 1 by Shūsaku Arakawa provides a very simple task:

As the first live test of Simon Faithfull’s Expanding Atlas of Subjectivity has been successful, there now are 1277 drawings up on the wall. At this point, we express our gratitude to our installation team!

First press visits

With the Aachener Zeitung and Arndt Lorenz of WDR, we have already welcomed the first press representatives, and next week a shooting date with West ART is scheduled.

We are good to go and still we have to be patient – but even that is part of a journey sometimes: DELAYED DEPARTURE
